Sebastian made the dinner yesterday.
When I was getting everything ready to make dinner last night, Sebastian said he wanted to learn how, so I let him jump on in and do every part of the meal.
He pounded the chicken flat with the mallet, layered the maple ham and extra sharp cheddar cheese inside, closed them up with toothpicks, and rolled them in breadcrumbs.
He also made the broccoli and cheese sauce too.
He did a really great job on it!
Tomorrow night, Tuesday, I will be making my most awesome enchiladas, and Sebastian will be helping or doing them himself, with me supervising again.
He really enjoys cooking, and I must say, the cordon bleu turned out really great!
He ever served it up on the plates!

Yay for Sebastian. He should be very proud of himself. Sounds great.

Isn't it great when the kids can cook!! My 15 year old is pretty creative like his dad and the younger one cooked for me when I broke my ankle and hubby and 15 year old were up at the cabin. I think the thing that got them started was Home Ec in 7th grade.

That's great! I think that all kids should learn to cook when they're old enough to use the oven, stove, and other kitchen appliances safely. It's an important life skill that everyone needs to learn...even boys.
Keep encouraging him, Kat! :)

Great job Sebastian. Uncle Mike won an award at a fair for his apple pie. Keep cooking and learning more recipes and you will be a great cook. Who knows you may become a chef some day.
