My Single Mom Life: Viruses are so much fun.

« I thought they did battle? | Main | RIP Kevin Dubrow. »

Viruses are so much fun.

Today would have been a great day for one of those modern platform beds for sure.
I was in and out of bed like 1,000 times.
On and off the couch, couldn't get comfortable to save my life.
I hate being sick. My stomach has been doing flips and flops, felt like George Foreman was in there using my stomach as a punching bag.
I finally couldn't take it anymore and went to Walgreen's and picked up some Imodium, and some antacids, and some Gatorade.
I'm completely dehydrated and exhausted.

Who knows how I caught it.
My niece Skye was just getting over a cold, but we went to Denny's, Circuit city, the grocery store on Saturday, so who knows.
Maybe I was the lucky one who touched a door handle or cart handle that some sick person had touched.
I usually wipe down the carts at Public with the alcohol wipes they provide, but if it was a stomach virus, I don't know if the wipes can kill it ya know?
And it's not like you can wipe down every product you pick up and put in your cart, or wipe down the credit card/debit card reader at the checkout.
I catch freaking everything and it sucks.
At least the Imodium is finally starting to work.
I swear, if I have to run to the bathroom one more time today, I am gonna cry.

This sounds like the crap I had while I was in Vegas. It sucks big fat hairy smelly donkey balls.

Yeah, it's a virus, so those wipes won't do any good. But sadly, you can catch it anywhere. At the store, on a plane (maybe I caught it there), anywhere.

I just hope you feel better soon. This seriously sucks, and I wish it on no one (okay, maybe on a FEW people who piss me off...LOL!).

*hugs*

I feel for ya! I hate hate HATE stomach viruses!

Katie got sick with the stomach virus on Friday and lo and behold I got it yesterday. We are both feeling better but it sure was no fun going through it. Feel better soon

Hope you fell better---Lynne

I make a conscious effort to not touch my hands to my face until I get home to wash them. Especially at this time of year up here. I also have some of that waterless antibacterial stuff in the car for apres shopping. The wipes should kill whatever, viruses, bacteria. When I was the computer tech at the elementary school I got sick constantly. When the kids were in grade school, sick all the time. As soon as they entered Jhigh, we no longer got sick much.

This may sound weird, but have you been checked out for any auto-immune problems? I know you've had zillions of tests, but I didn't know if you've had a hemotologist look into all the inflammatory stuff that happens to you a lot. (besides the broken screw..)
