Digital, drugs and trees.

This day just dragged didn't it?
I'm so glad it's almost over.

Anyway, this morning, Mark's teacher called me to let me know he finished his work.
As soon as he completed it, he called her over to his desk and asked her to check it.
She did, and then he says "Can you please call my mom? She grounded me because you called on Thursday and said I didn't do it. Please Mrs. W.?"
So she called me and told me, and I told her to tell him he was un-grounded.
I heard this woo-hoo in the background. *LOL*

Yesterday after I left the new pain docs, I went straight to Walgreen's to get the new scripts filled, he added a muscle relaxer and some Ultram ER and the regular Lortabs I have been taking. The muscle relaxers give me wicked cottonmouth by the way.
The pharmacist couldn't fill the Ultram because it interacts with the muscle relaxer in some people, and causes seizures, so she said she was going to call my doc and see if he knew that and still wants me to take it.
I just checked the Walgreen's site to see it's progress, and it says it was filled yesterday and picked up.
I'm all no, I didn't pick that up, the pharm wouldn't fill it.
So I called Walgreen's and they said the computers have been malfunctioning all day and saying that every script that has been dropped off has been filled and already picked up by the customers.
The pharm clerk sounded absolutely frazzled as she said this.
I can only imagine how it's been all day having to deal with the computers saying every order was complete and picked up, while the customers stand there probably screaming, that they didn't pick it up.
She said as soon as they fill it, if they fill it, they will call me but I can expect an email saying it's ready and it won't really be ready.

On to the digital.
On February 17th, 2009, all broadcast tv will go digital.
You can find out more about it at DTV answers, and also learn about the digital converter box that you will need if you don't have cable or satellite tv already.
That's the group I fall into, no cable, no satellite tv, just an antenna on top of the tv.
Between Jan. 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009, all U.S. households will be eligible to request up to two coupons, worth $40 each, to be used toward the purchase of up to two, digital-to-analog converter boxes. For more information about the converter box coupon program, call 1-888-DTV-2009 or visit ntia.doc.gov/dtvcoupon.
So come January, I'll be signing up for that coupon. I can't afford to buy a digital tv, so I'll be needing the converter box, and if I can get a coupon for it, all the better.
The boxes cost about $60, so getting $40 off will definitely help.

Tree time!
I have my tree out and placed where I want it, the lights are on, but no ornaments yet. I just can't seem to get in the mood to decorate at all. The tree is the only thing I have out.
Pretty darn pathetic right?
I'm going to try and get it done tomorrow.
At least finish the tree.

I was going to do some xmas shopping on line today and didn't, instead we watched Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End.
It was pretty good, what I saw of it anyway. I fell asleep a few times, jolted awake, fell asleep again.
I'll have to watch it tomorrow or something and hopefully stay awake during it this time.

I think you will like the Ultram. I use it (generic name Tramodol) and it works great. I had seven discs in my neck replaced. They took a hip bone fron a cadavor, ground down 7 pieces to fit, and attached them with an 8" titanium plate and 8-2" screws. I was on lortabs for a long time. Now I can take a tramodol and naproxin and I get as much relief as I got from the lortabs. Hope you get the same results.

Glad to hear you are getting things worked out with the Pain Doc.
POC 3 is an awesome movie. We just got it ourselves. I love Depp but at the end when Turner is dressed in all black OMG what a hottie:)
