Palmolive Oxy Plus + soapy residue on dishes.
I've read a ton of reviews about Palmolive Oxy Plus, and they all say, even their own website, that it does NOT leave a residue.
"I like that the liquid suds up quickly and produces copious amounts of cleaning bubbles."
It's far, far too many bubbles.
"There is no filmy residue or spots left on the dishes."
Yes there is. Tons of it.
And what the hell is with so much lather??
Dear god, it's like a bubble bath for my dishes.
I don't fill my sink with water and dish soap. I use a dish stick. You fill the dish stick with the soap, and scrub the dishes, there should not be this much soap.
See look, dish stick and excessive lather.
This is the side of the sink I actually wash the dishes in. There should not be this much lather when using the dish stick.
This is the clean silverware.
I have to rinse these, and rinse, and rinse and rinse.
I have to scrub them with my hands to get all the soap off.
They feel super slimy unless I use my fingers to rub off every trace of soap.
Just rinsing them so they visually have no soap on them, does not mean they have no soap.
If you don't scrub them with your hands until the slimy soap feeling is gone, the next time you eat, you will taste soap.
This applies to bowls, all the silverware, cups, plates, pots, pans, everything.
No residue my ass.
I'm seriously not impressed. If I had my receipt, I'd ask for my money back.
** My sink is not dirty. This house was built in the mid 70's, these are the original porcelain sinks. They are stained with rust and scratches everywhere.
I'm a Fly Lady, I shine my sink every time I do dishes.
Sure, it may take me a few days to actually do my dishes sometimes, but I clean the sink every single time.
Those stains drive me nuts.
I'd kill for a stainless steel sink.

That sucks. I love the Palmolive dishwasher gel, but have to watch how much I use or it will leave a residue on my dishes.

try (hopefully you can find it in your area) a product called Bar Keepers Friend- it's like Comet or Ajax and really gets those rust stains out. good luck

YUCK! I hate soapy residue and even more, tasting it when I drink a glass of water.
I know people who don't even rinse their dishes. I simply go past and rinse out a glass or a plate in hot water, then cold (which, btw, will eliminate suds) and I don't even apologise for doing it.
Blech!

Have you tried to wash your hands with it? I'm at the sink trying to get the soap off forever.
