Dear Verizon screw-ups,
The problem is not my equipment inside my house.
For the last time, last night at about 7:30pm, lightning struck the pole in the back yard, blew up the power transformer, we were without power for about 8 hours. FPL came and spent 3 hours repairing and replacing the blown up transformer.
Your phone and internet wires are connected to that pole.
Do you honestly think that your wires were spared the lightning?
If I use the internet, I have no phone. I actually have no phone at all, just dead air.
I really think it's ignorant of you to tell me that my equipment is at fault, when I was using my phone and internet last night, when the explosion that lit up the entire neighborhood happened.
It was so loud and so bright, people ran screaming from their homes thinking the neighborhood had been bombed.
Now, get someone over here to fix this ASAP, quit telling me my line tests fine. The problem is at the pole with your copper wiring.
This happened a few years ago, do you remember?
For 4 solid months you told me it was my fault, then you suddenly discovered that the grid had been blown.
Ooops, your bad huh?
I am a very unhappy customer right now.
Pissed is how I would describe it.
See, people have been trying to call here, and they haven't been able to.
They were worried.
I cannot be without the phone for months again while you tell me it's not your problem.
There's a tech of yours here right now, and he says yes, it is your problem. So uh, how about treating your customers with a bit more respect?
That would be far too easy, I know, it's more fun to make our lives miserable with your shitty service and lack of customer service.

OMG Kat! That is fucking crazy! I think you should demand a credit on your bill for that nonsense. Seriously raise up a stink until they give you one. It works because we do it all the time. And THAT is sad.

Hope they have you back up and talking -- it's been way too quiet over on the boards :)

When, oh when, will you be able to switch from Verizon, who've been jerking you around in so many ways for months, to a different supplier? This is killing me, and it's not even happening to me.
(Although Hell Canada is seriously no better.)
