I got my converter box program coupon in the mail today, so I went online to the stores where it says they have them in stock locally, to check prices.
I have 90 days from the date they mailed it, to use it or it expires.
Let's go to BestBuy first.

But god damn it, It's freaking $10 cheaper at Walmart.

I am going to do my absolute best to not care about saving that $10, and just buy it at a store that didn't give me a run around, didn't lie to me, didn't return the calls the said they were going to, and buy this converter box at one of the other stores that have it, even if it is $10 more expensive.
I am going to hope that some of the other stores put them on sale before my 90 days are up.
Yes, it's only an additional $10 above the Walmart price, and it's a total of $20 out of pocket, but still, I like to save money when I can. I'm the kind of person who would invest in the stock market, if I could buy penny stocks.
I like to save money, not spend it.

Mine haven't gotten here yet...I was so sure it would be today, but here it is, almost 4PM and no mail at all. Maybe tomorrow.
I only looked at Best Buy and Radio Shack. I have my own issues with both Mall-Wart and Circuit City; neither of them is ever getting another dime of my money. I could go on forever about why I hate Mall-Wart. Radio Shack is kind of annoying, their salespeople tend to be very pushy. But I can deal with that. I'm leaning towards going there to get the Zenith one, that's at least a good brand that I've actually heard of.
But it sucks about the Magnavox one, I suspect that this is the best brand of the whole lot of them.
Radio Shack tends to not be good with sales, if you want to wait a bit, you might do better with Best Buy or Circuit City. Maybe they'll start getting in more choices soon. I was surprised that the selection is so shitty.
I wish my coupons wuld get here already.

I know every penny counts, but I have finally learned that it's just not worth the hassle of dealing with WalMart to save a buck or two. But even going to one of their stores is better than dealing with Walmart.com.
