I can be such a doofus sometimes.
I was on the local forums just now in the music, movies, and books sub-forum, and someone asked about the industrial rock band from France, and wanted to know their name.
I just blurted out KVM.
Um, duh-ur.
I was quickly called on my mistake too by several music heads.
It's not KVM, it's KMFDM.
KFMDM has been around since 1984, and has put out 15 studio albums, 24 singles and EPs, and 2 remix albums.
They make awesome music, so if you've never heard of them before and like industrial rock, give them a listen, it's good stuff.
Now, what is KVM?
It's a multi-user switch that allows you to control multiple computers from a single station.
It allows you to manage servers over IP, and makes it easier to move your computers to a more secure location.
I don't know why I just spit out KVM instead of KMFDM.
It could be because I had just been looking up some info on Cat5 extenders. I have this switch box here that someone gave me, and I've never been able to get it to work, so I was looking up directions on how to make it work.
I really shouldn't try to multi-task.
I know my music better than I know technology, and I just made myself sound stupid on the forums.
D'oh!
