This commercial drives me crazy!
This is a commercial for Pediasure, the kids healthy meal replacement, add-on drink, to make sure they get the nutrients they should.
This commercial makes me want to slap that kid.
First, she's far too big to be sitting in the baby seat of the grocery cart.
Second, she's a pain in the ass.
"I don't like broccoli. I don't like chicken. I don't think I like waffles."
Yeah?
Then guess who's going to bed hungry tonight you little brat.
I know kids can be extremely picky eaters, but my mom had a rule, I have had the same rule since the boys could eat solid foods.
You eat what is on the plate in front of you, or you go without eating.
How do kids know what they like or don't like unless you put it on their plate and make them eat it?
Sebastian always said he hated broccoli without ever trying it.
Then I made it, mixed it in with some chicken Alfredo, and what do you know?
He ate it, said he liked it, and as soon as I told him he just ate broccoli, he was like oh, it's not that bad.
The faces that little girl makes, the tone of her voice, just makes me want to scream.
I complain every time I see the commercial, I get so annoyed listening to her voice, and the mother just smiles like it's no big deal.
No.
Sorry.
Tell the child to put a sock in it, she'll eat the broccoli, the chicken, and the waffles, or she'll be one very hungry little girl come bed time.
Oh, and she's big enough to walk beside the cart holding her mother's hand or the cart handle.
I've seen the commercial at least a dozen times since waking up this morning, and I just couldn't hold back anymore.
That kid is just so damn irritating.

I hate that damned commercial, too. Both Mike and I grew up in homes where there was not a lot of money. We also both had mothers who were very bad cooks. Still, we had to eat what was put in front of us, or starve, there was no money for *special* meals. I were lucky if I got to go to McDonald's once a month, and to think that their food was better than my mother's cooking!
These parents who let kids dictate what they eat need to grow a spine. The kids won't starve to death, they will get hungry and they'll eat whatever is there, eventually.

Oh boy! I feel the same way. My kids either ate what I made for dinner or they didn't eat.. period. They learned to eat what I made.
I change the channel when that commercial comes on.

Yeah, that girl is totally annoying. I don't like that commercial. My mom always made me eat whatever was infront of me. I was never really a picky eater anyways.

Ha ha, I totally agree!! That commercial is what is wrong with most parents and kids today -- the kids are running the show.
However, I will admit that I am guilty of letting my kid eat Cheerios for dinner if she hates what I'm serving.....

And have you ever noticed too, that she has the look of death on her face as she is sipping that drink and looking at her commercial mom?
My Boyfriends daughter is extremely picky. She literally makes herself gag, I got fed up and said you know what, this is what is for dinner. If you don't like it then too bad. She is 11 years old and her Mommy babied her, I don't put up with it. I hate to sound mean, but we aren't rich. We don't have a huge choice of food. Her choice of preferred food are tv dinners and pizza rolls. Which is why she is overweight, her mother doesn't control her eating.
I guess I am a bad Mom for making her eat healthy foods.

I am a very lucky mom... my kids pretty much enjoy anything that is put in front of them.. Chris on the other hand is my picky eater and sometimes he has gone to bed without dinner

I've done that with both my girls from day one. I have never told them what they were eating until afterward and I make sure that they eat a wide variety of foods.
I remember once when Pee Wee was about 7 or 8 and we went to a local seafood joint. They had calamari (the good kind with the tentacles) so we ordered some. She and her cousin ate almost that entire order of calamari before I told them what they were eating. When I did tell them, they started with the "Ooooo! Yuck!" I laughed and pointed out that they ate almost all of it. Both girls decided it wasn't so bad and finished it off. :)
My sister's kids, on the other hand, are just like that brat in the commercial. They don't like this, they don't like that...blah blah blah. They love Micky D's though and that's what they get most nights (yes, they are both overweight). They don't come to my house to eat because I don't run a restaurant and I will happily let them starve if they don't like what I made. :)
