Birthday shopping for Mark.

Mark turns 17 this coming August 15th, it's so hard to believe my first baby boy is almost a fully grown up man.
He's 6 foot 2 inches tall, built like a linebacker, and just a really super awesome young man.
I'm so proud of the person he has become.
He's kind and caring, compassionate, generous, respectful, all the things moms want their sons to grow up to be, I really couldn't be more pleased with who he has become.

I've started looking around for the perfect gift to get him, to let him know how special he is to me, something he can have and use for a long time.
I don't want to just get him another video game, or give him money so he can buy another video game or just blow it on crap like most teenagers do.
So I got to thinking I'd like to get him a watch, a really nice one, not some cheap thing either, a really nice timepiece he can have and wear, and then hand down to his son someday.

So I went on a search for watches finding many sites with many nice ones, and one of my Google searches took me to a link for an AP Royal Oak watch.
I really like the way they all look, but my word, I'd have to win the lotto to ever afford one.
One of the watches I found had a buy it now price of $121,500.00.
!!!
I was all no freaking way could a watch ever cost that much, I know some do, but I just thought that price was far too much money for that particular watch, so I went to the watchmaker's website and I was right.
That watch brand new is only $25,500, and that ebay seller is seriously marking up the price.
It is a limited edition, but if the real site has it for a much lower price, then anyone who buys that watch at over 100 grand, is stupid.

I can't afford an AP watch, but I will find him a really nice one that I can afford.
I think he deserves something nice so I'm going to keep looking.
I know what I can afford to spend isn't really a lot compared to most people, but if anyone finds a really nice looking watch for about $150 or maybe a bit more if it's a really nice one, please let me know ok?
Thanks.

Son Alex was given a beautiful timepiece for Christmas once... a watch on a chain with a leather pouch. It's a classic. I'm sure you could find something like that in your price range.

I got hubby a nice watch a few years back by Bulova... Its not too expensive and if you shop around you can find some good deals...It also stands up to abuse, its been dropped, washed, and played with by my girls and it still works and looks great... Its a nice heavy watch too...My husband loves it...
