Can it be replaced? Please?
Mark didn't mow the lawn yesterday because it started to rain a little bit, so he had to wait until this evening to do it.
And then the rip/pull cord on the mower broke.
We had to borrow the neighbors lawn mower in order to finish our front yard.
So can the rip cord things be replaced, or do I have to buy another mower again?
The mower itself is still in good condition, the cord just broke, and it's now inside the cord storage area thing, I can't pull it out to tie the two ends back together, or even if it can be tied back together.
Do they make cord repair kits?
Is it it even called a lawn mower rip cord repair/replacement kit?
Help!!!!

What kind of mower is it? I think that will determine what you have to do.

I actually have no idea and it's late, the thing is out in the shed, so I can't get out there to look right now.

DAMN, wish I lived closer, I used to work in a lawnmower repair shop! Yes, they can be restrung, call around for a lawnmower repair shop and if they try to tell you it's going to cost more than $20-35 to do it, tell them they're full of shit and trying to pull one over on you!
It's a huge pain in the ass if you haven't done one before, but it's possible that you can do it yourself or even Mark could do it. You'll see where the "housing" that holds the pull cord comes off by removing a couple of bolts or screws, just that top housing, you'll have to have that off to take to a shop or do it yourself. If you do it yourself make sure you get the same thickness of pull string, if you go heavier/thicker it may not work right or last.
If you don't need it fixed today, hold off and you and I can email back and forth about it tomorrow and I'll fill you in on what you need and what you'll have to do. Just have one of the boys try to get the brand and model number off the mower for me. If you can, take pics of the top of the mower and email them to me so I can check it out too, if you want to. But don't freak, it's very fixable, we did a buzillion of them at the shop!
