Eww, something is dead.
I just went outside to put some mail in the box to go out, and noticed that the city had come by finally, and mowed the ditches.
As soon as I got to the mailbox, I smelled it.
Something is dead in the ditch but I can't see it because of all of the grass clippings in it now.
It's foul though, rank, something is surely most dead, and as the sun heats up the ground today, it's only going to get more foul smelling.
Ugh.
I am not going to go digging through there though to try and bag up whatever is dead under there.
No way.
I know if I wait long enough, the city will come back around and scoop out the ditches to make sure the rain doesn't flood out during the rainy season, but in the mean time, it's going to smell really bad out there.
And why is it that when I'm waiting on a payment that is usually in at 9am on the first of every month, is not in now?
It figures.
It's because I need it that it's not there.

Last year, there was a dead skunk out in the middle of the street, every time I walked outside, I'd see the thing. No one from the city ever came to pick it up. No surprise there.
Then it snowed, right on top of the dead skunk. It was quite a big snowstorm, and them the plow came and pushed away the snow (and the skunk).
Someone up the street from me was in for a nasty surprise once that snow melted! Glad it got pushed away from where I could see it!

Maybe the evil one next door used your ditch to hid his victim! My bad... did I say that out loud? When you are sick of smelling that, let me know.. I can come over and find it. Yeah, I know... I am weird.
