If they aren't broken, I might just break them.

Here it is 2 o'clock in the morning, and all 3 of us are still awake and probably will be for quite awhile.
See, at midnight, the boys were in the room playing the Xbox and Sebastian wanted to play a game by himself for a few minutes, and Mark didn't want him to, he wanted to both play at the same time on Halo 3.
Neither one of them would give up on what they wanted, and pretty soon the verbal assaults turned into physical assaults.

Sebastian slapped Mark, Mark slapped Sebastian, Sebastian punched Mark, and then Mark punched Sebastian in the head.
Hard.

Sebastian has a huge knot and a nasty bruise on his head, and Mark possibly has at the minimum, a swollen sprained index finger, and at the worst, a fractured or badly broken index finger.
When he nailed Sebastian in the head, he hit him so hard he busted up his own damn finger.
I had Sebastian hold a bag of ice on his head, and Mark held a bag of ice on his hand.
Sebastian has a really bad banging headache, and Mark's finger is now duct taped to a couple of popsicle sticks until morning, and he's in a bit of pain.
I've given the both of them a couple of Tylenol, and keeping them awake for a little bit to make sure Sebastian doesn't have a concussion.
In the morning, I'll be checking to see if Mark can move his fingers any better than he can right now, and if not, we'll be making a trip to the ER for the head knot and the busted up finger.

They're officially grounded from all the internet and gaming activities.
I've killed the internet connection to their room, removed the controllers, and have no idea when I'll be giving any of it back.
I simply cannot believe they got into a fight so bad that they caused bodily injury to each other.
I had almost made it through the teen years without them hurting each other badly.
I now know what Aunt Sherry dealt with when her twin sons Donnie and Jimmy would beat the crap outta each other constantly, and she spent most of their teenage years sitting in the ER while the doctors put on casts, put in stitches, and reset dislocated shoulders.

I'm so frigging angry I could kill them, but I'm exhausted.
I'll let you all know if anything really is broken.
Gah!

Maybe this will get them to think before they start to squabble anymore! If you need me to take the goobers to the ER, I would be happy too.

Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette
