It was my money, but still a sweet gesture.

I spent a good portion of today and this evening, laying on the couch sniffling and coughing, and the teens made due for themselves letting me just get some rest.
Then they asked if I had a few bucks, could they go to the corner store and grab some snacks and some sodas.
I said sure, handed them my paypal card, and off they went.

When they came back, they slipped my card back in my wallet, and the receipt on the table of death, and then handed me a Klondike bar.
I didn't ask for it, they just thought the smooth ice cream might make my sore and scratchy throat feel better.
And they were right.
It felt awesome letting the smooth vanilla ice cream just slide down and cool off my throat.
It actually made the headache I've had all day feel better too.

My teens rule.
They know how to cheer me up and make me feel better without me having to ask.

Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette
