Silly co-eds.
I've mentioned on here before about the local Tampa crew and their parties, that's the only reason I'm mentioning it here again instead of on my other blog.
The local Tampa people love to play flip cup and beer pong, they have their own custom beer pong tables that they've made, it's an amusing thing to watch.
I myself never partake of either game, but I do enjoy watching people mess up and therefore get completely obliterated while playing.
Well it seems that playing beer pong may be bad for your health.
There are at least 2 unconfirmed reports floating around on the internet, about beer pong being responsible for an increase in herpes, the virus that causes mouth cold sores.
I say unconfirmed because when I did a Google news search and a CDC website search, it showed zero (0) results for these stories that are finding their way around college blogs and forums.
I have a feeling someone at a college got a case of herpes/cold sores and because they didn't want to appear as being careless, they blamed it on playing beer pong.
It's amusing to me how quickly these stories go around the internet with absolutely no credible source links to back up the claims, yet everyone believes the stories.
Until it's confirmed by an actual report on the CDC site, it's still a safe and funny game for my Tampa friends to partake of at parties.

Haha well I mean I suppose that could happen if you're not bothering to change out plastic cups when you start a new game...'Cause I mean, plastic cups are so hard to come by.

I don't follow how you can get herpes from beer pong, unless it's the ball being unclean? Even so, the alcohol ought to kill any germs on the ball!
