They are so lucky.
I woke the teens up just a bit ago, Mark has plans to go out with his Big, George, for lunch today, and we have plans this weekend that they need to be healthy for.
I checked Sebastian's noggin, and it looks much better this morning.
Still a little puffy, still a little black and blue, but otherwise he's good.
He says it doesn't hurt anymore.
I took the duct tape and popsicle sticks off of Mark's fingers, and the swelling has mostly gone down, he can move them, a bit better, so it looks like a sprain is all he did.
I'm going to let him go with George and see how he does.
It's his left hand that he hurt, he's left handed, so we'll see how he fares with eating with utensils today, if he's in a lot of pain when he gets home or not.
I am utterly exhausted.
I barely slept because I was so worried about Sebastian's head.
I was afraid to let him sleep straight through, fear of a concussion.
This picture was taken this morning, and trust me, last night, this looked so so much worse.
It was this HUGE black and blue puffy ball on his forehead.
Being a mother is so dang stressful sometimes.
They have fought almost every day this summer, they are bored, there are no "summer" jobs down here.
It's the reverse seasons here.
Up north in the summer, kids are out of school, people take vacations, teens can get jobs.
Down here in the summer, no one vacations here because it's too hot.
People vacation here during the winter when teens are in school, so yeah, they are at home and at each other's throats day in and day out, but this is the first time they have come to hard blows.
You know, when they grow up and move out, I'm going to start looking for a new home in another state, like go look for some Wilmington real estate, or Wyoming, or Virginia, find myself a nice little cozy 1 bed/1 bath cottage size place, and then not tell them where I moved to, and if they find me, ooops!
Sorry sons of mine, but my house is too small for you to live with me.
Dang.

This reminds me of the time I got real angry with my sister and threw a spoon at her. I was mortified when it actually stuck into her forehead. It wasn't deep and she did need a few stitches but she never complained about what I made for dinner after that ;) We all go threw moments of stupidity. Do they at least feel bad about last night?

Kat, boys are boys...and they fight hard and sometimes...from the looks of it they don't realize the force they use when fighting. I hope they both are ok.
I remember when my Sisters were little...were talking little little. They would throw knives, hot wheels or anything that is close by at each other. Being twins...it was HORRIBLE being the older Sister. I learned how to protect them while hair pulling though...lol. Believe it or not...here they are 30 years old and they still fight like little kids...
