Good grief Sebastian!
Sebastian and I had the vision argument again today.
He's supposed to wear his glasses at school and when reading or playing video games, but does he?
Oh no he doesn't!
He usually takes his glasses and case to school every day so he can put them on in his classes, but he "forgot" them today.
I know he didn't really forget them because I found them hidden behind the monitor in their room, behind a couple of cups and an empty can, and some wrappers.
He intentionally hid them.
So when they came home from school today, I asked Sebastian where his glasses were, he said they were in his backpack, so I asked him to give me the backpack.
He said, "I'll get them out myself, give me a minute I need to take my shoes off in my room.
I said no, now, give it to me.
His face got wicked red, and he admitted they were not in the bag, they were in the other room.
I asked him why he's been lying to me, and he said he hates his glasses and wants contact lenses.
I told him that every time we have tried to put in a lens, he freaks out because he thinks it's going to hurt his eyeball, that I'll accidentally poke him in the eye.
I told him that if he can put in a lens, I'll find a way to get him contact lenses and we can just use the glasses as a back-up.
So we went in the bathroom and tried again.
Nope, still a fraidy cat when anything gets near his eyes.
Looks like he's going to keep wearing his glasses.
I also told him that I will be in touch with his teachers and asking them if his glasses are on in class.
If not, he will be grounded from game playing.
