What's your damage?

Tonight the teens and I watched a couple of movies.
First up was the 20 year old (*gasp*) movie, Heathers.
The teens had never seen it before, that's my fault I suppose for never renting it and showing them the glorious dark comedy of this movie.
I can't believe it's been 20 years since this movie was made, wow, I feel incredibly old now. haha
It's all about peer pressure, teen angst, and killing off all of the high school jerks you just can't stand.
The teens totally loved it, they laughed almost the whole way through, and when J.D. (Christian Slater) blows himself up at the end, I thought for sure they were going to piss from laughing so hard.

Then we watched Wall-E.
I thought the movie was incredibly cute, little Wall-E just wanting a true friend, another like himself, and he finds that with fellow robot Eve.
Even though there's nothing at all being said for the first 20 or so minutes of the movie, I was completely enthralled with the little robot and what earth had become.
We humans are a wasteful bunch eh?
We consume and throw away, consume and throw away, and so I can totally see a time when our planet becomes nothing but trash.
I really enjoyed the movie and so did the teens.
It was really funny to see humans 700 years in the future, big fat slobs who do nothing but sit and consume all of their food through drinks, completely oblivious to anything else.
Wall-E was adorable, so emotive in his "facial" expressions, it was cute to see a robot that had feelings, found a friend in a cockroach, took delight in random pieces of garbage that humans threw away, and just wanted someone to share it all with.
It's not one of my most favorite Pixar/Disney movies, but I did enjoy it.
I think I'll keep it all weekend, watch it a few more times, and then mail it back to Netflix on Monday.

I loved BOTH movies! And wasn't Christian Slater such a hot b**ch back in the Heathers/Pump Up The Volume Days? I just love him!

Have you read Twilight yet? You MUST go see the movie first chance you get!

I LOVE Heathers !

I can't believe Heathers is 20 years old. I'm going to go pluck out some of my gray hair now.

We all can't wait to catch Wall-E again. I was pretty surprised that a movie with such little dialogue could hold my attention that well. Too much cute!

I should re-watch Heathers as well. It's been a while!
