Cold Mizer and Heat Mizer song and dance numbers.
One of my most favorite Christmas movies is The Year Without a Santa Claus, another Rankin Bass classic that hardly ever gets aired on tv anymore.
If it's been on this year, I haven't seen it.
It may have been aired on cable, but most of the other classics have been shown on ABC already, but not this one.
I just love this particular story, Santa not feeling up to Christmas, thinks no one believes in him anymore, gets depressed and then sick from it all.
But the Mizer brothers make this whole movie, the whole song and dance numbers are just awesome.
I love how they bicker back and forth, how mother likes one of them best, true brothers.
Those of us who grew up in the 1970's when all of these Rankin Bass classics started, I know you know the whole songs, can probably sing along to them too.
So I wanted to share a little bit of it with you, here's the full clip from the movie, both songs and a little brother battling.

I don't think it's been on free broadcast TV in some years now...but I remember it well. I really need to buy that DVD.
Thanks for posting this!

You know what, I never even got a chance to see any of these classics aired on the tv this year. I'm glad that I bought my mom the collection of them on dvd a few years back though, that's the only way we get a chance to see them all each year.

They are broadcasting them on ABC Family which is cable! Katie had a marathon of all the classics and yes this one is my favorites also!

I always try to watch that. I don't have many favorites in the xmas movie category but "year without a santa claus" is my all-time favorite even as an adult.
