Haha that one looks a little terrifying!

"It's DEAD! It's in the MIDDLE! And it's stinkin' to HIGH HEAVEN!" Remember that old song about the dead skunk? Well, Mr. Possum "shoulda looked left and he shoulda looked right"!

I hope the city of Sarasota is quicker at picking up roadkill than our crap town is. A couple of year ago, there was this dead skunk in the middle of the road, outside our house. I swear, it was there for over a week before the city finally came and cleaned it up. We were expecting a snowstorm, and I was afraid that it would snow on top of the dead skunk. Then the plow would come and push it. And then when the plow droppings melted, some poor fool would walk out their door and see this seriously decomposed thing on the curb outside their house. Gack!

So one time when I was in high School, I was driving home late at night and it was really dark. I turned the corner and saw this animal in the middle of the road. It was blinded by my head lights so it didn't move and I couldn't go around it. It kinda looked like a cute little kitty in the dark so I thought I would go "help" it to the side of the road. I was walking up on the "kitty" and was arm lenth away before I realized it was a baby possum. OMG I was so freaked. I hauled ass to my car and ever since then I really freaked out about possum's. Those BIG buggy eyes were just glaring at me....AAAHHHHHH!!!!!

They are vicious little creatures. We caught one in a 50 gallon drum when I was a kid. It almost chewed an arm off while we were trying to let it go.

On an unrelated note, I just realized that the little orange man in the right corner for your RSS feed is sitting on a bench and not a toilet. Heh, I've been thinking he was in the bathroom, reading your blog, til now.
