No child support payments on the holidays.
My ex paid the child support this week, he paid it on Thursday, but it must have been after 5pm or something, because they did not deposit it to my card on Friday, and because it's a weekend, a holiday weekend too, they will not be depositing it until Tuesday or Wednesday.
I really could have used that money this weekend, there's stuff we gotta do, like mail out George and Amy's tickets to Mark's graduation because Mark and George won't be seeing each other before the 30th, and I'm out of stamps and Sebastian used up all of the change in the family change pig, and a couple other things that we needed to do like price some dress shoes for Mark, see if we can't find some halfway decent and reasonably priced thank you cards, and the teens wanted to do something else that I can't recall right now.
Oh well, at least he paid right?

I've been single parenting for 16 years. And I don't have a court order!! HE left the country. He sends money. The amount and timing, at HIS discretion. For all 16 years! And the office of the AG of TX says: "At least he sends some thing." I'm not on aid of any kind. So my daughter isn't a priority.
It doesn't benefit your children that his support is LATE. Just image your "holiday" post if you'd received the payment on time?

Ugh. This damn holiday weekend is screwing up everything, or so it seems. My PayPal account is currently negative because of a $65 purchase I made with Target. The $65 cleared out of my account, but the initial $65 that was held for the transaction is STILL being held. I called PP and they can't release it, only Target can, and that won't be done until Tuesday at the earliest.
Then there's the weird deposit/banking issue one of the paid blogging companies is having with PayPal, so the $75 or so I'm expecting from them is also in limbo somewhere.
*sigh* Here's to hoping that we get our money this week!

Hey, I still have the thank you cards left from my daughter's grad, she never used them. If you want them, email me & I'll mail them out tomorrow. They're white with silver script saying "thank you"
