Rubbermaid giveaway!
I'm having another giveaway here on my blog, and while it's not a piece of Wilmington NC real estate, it is something with 20 pieces!
Back in January, I won a 20 piece set of Rubbermaid's Easy Find Lids storage containers, and when I got them, I posted about them here on my blog.
It was a 20 piece set, 18 regular pieces, and 2 Produce Savers containers.
They are so great!
They are all stack-able, and because the lids all fit together, you can't ever lose a lid, the big lids fit all of the big containers, the small lids fit all of the small containers.
The lids all snap together, and then the lids snap to the bottom of the containers, I haven't lost or misplaced a single container or lid yet because of this, it's an awesome set!
I use the Produce Savers to store fresh fruit and veggies so they don't go bad.
The design of the Produce Savers does a fantastic job keeping everything nice and fresh.
I use all of the various sizes of the Easy Find Lids containers for snacks like potato chips, candies, salsa and other dips, because let's face it, the packages most of those foods come in, are not really made to keep the food fresh once you've opened them up.
I also use them for any leftovers that we may have, (Ha! With 2 teen boys, leftovers are only a dream! They may get leftover and placed in a storage container for about 2 hours before 1 of the teens polishes it off!) and they are microwavable and dishwasher safe, (I don't have a dishwasher, but it says they are dishwasher safe) and they are pretty stain resistant.
So far, not a single container has a stain in it.
I love my set so much, I use them for everything all of the time, and when Rubbermaid contacted me about another set and hosting a giveaway, I said heck yeah!
This is a different 20 piece set than the 1 I won in January.
This is exactly what is in the set that I am giving away!
The winner will get 2 Produce Savers in various sizes, 3 of the Easy Find Lids containers in various sizes, 3 Lock-Its in various sizes, and 2 of their Premier containers.
This is the exact set that 1 lucky winner will receive!
The prize:
Rubbermaid has offered up 1 of these awesome 20 piece sets to 1 lucky winner!

I use storage containers for the usual leftovers. I also use the tiny ones for holding small things like screws, nails, paper clips, etc. I usually buy the cheap ones in the supermarket but would love to have a good set of Rubbermaid.

I rotate them out. When I get nice new containers they get used for food only, but I take the older containers and use them for all sorts of things. To hold art supplies, little pieces to my daughters Barbies, all sorts of things. The smaller ones are great for holding paint too!

Oh god I love Rubbermaid products! I actually bought myself a 20 pc. set of the clear square containers with the red lids for Christmas, but somehow all but the tiniest containers have disappeared? What the heck?
Anyway, I use the storage containers to store leftovers, and to keep cookies, cupcakes, brownies and other yummy treats fresh until they are consumed!
Awesome giveaway, btw. :) I hope I win, heh.

Do you use them for food only?
- Yes, I use them for food and left overs.
My mom and I make dinners and we usually have left overs. I don't have my own rubbermaid containers, so it would be nice if I had them, especially since I'm moving out for college.

Oh Gosh I could so use a new set of storage containers! Mine are all crap from tomato sauce and my beloved nukin' them too long in the nuker! I like to store leftover in ours so I just quick zip something up for dinner plus they totally come in handy for packing a picnic!

I use them mainly for leftovers. I like to use them for whole melons that we cut up. Buying slices or cubes is too expensive. So this keeps the fruit fresh. I've used them for small toy parts before but that's not an issue any more!

When I have storage containers, I use them to store leftovers and my daughter's toys that have small parts (like Polly Pocket and such). But I think I'm down to about two or three now, because I'm the world's worst for losing or damaging them!

I use containers like that almost always for food leftovers. And Hubby uses them to take the leftovers to work for lunch. I love Rubbermaid containers too, we've had our set for almost 6 years with no cracks and very few stains.

I'm trying to think of what I DON'T use storage containers for as I use them all over the place for so many different things!
I use the usual amount for leftovers and storing stuff in the freezer, plus smaller ones end up in my desk drawers to house office supplies. Hubby tends to steal my storage containers to keep various nuts and bolts from rolling around inside his tool chest. I also use storage containers under the bathroom sink to keep all my makeup organized.
The list goes on. We use them for all sorts of stuff around here, and with the baby on the way I'm sure we'll come up with even more uses.

Not entering but wanted to say I love using the larger tupperware for Hurricane seasons prep. I have one file folder that holds all of the essentials (insurance, house stuff, car, medical, ect.) so I can take it with me if I have to leave or move it around in case water rises.
I have another (4 quart maybe, not large) filled to the brim , quite nicely I might add, with first aid, standard medicines, batteries, tarps, rope, disposable camera for damage documentation, candles, matches, tuna, spam, water purification tablets, flashlights, hand sanitizer, a multi-tool and a few other random things I see around the house that I can fit into the crammed space. That way, if I ever need to get out our survive a few days, everything is ready to go and in one place. I keep it in the pantry next to a few gallons of water and feel a lot better about those few months from June to November....
