Hurricane blogging will resume next weekend.
Like maybe 6 months ago, I posted a link to a free music mag subscription. I had completely forgotten about it. It showed up the other day but because that stupid Frances was here, I forgot to tell you about it. Asleep By Dawn Music & Lifestyle Magazine is a hard core and gothic music mag. It has interviews, stuff for sale, music reviews, articles etc etc. And a free Cd.
I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet because I'm just sorta pooped and can't really concentrate on anything more than the wah wahs that that are coming out of the stupid newscasters.
Will listen to it soon.
It's a quarterly mag so no wonder it took so long to start the subscription eh?
There's a lot of good bands on this cd though.
Skinny Puppy, Qntal, The Cruxshaows, Collide and so on.
With every mag, you get the free cd.
So if this is your type of music, go sign up for it and when it shows up 6 months from now, you'll be like oh yeah, cool!

Did I tell you I bug bombed the house for free?
A few weeks before the hurricane, I got an email invite from Lightspeed surveys about bugs.
I did the survey and then they emailed me and wanted to know if I'd be interested in bug bombing the house for free.
So I said yes and they snail mailed me the 3 bug bombs and the day before the hurricane, I had my doc appointment so I knew I'd be gone all day and the kids were at school and Heidi went with me so it was the perfect time to do it.
3 cans set up in the house and I turned them on and we left. (The cats were safely tucked away)
Came home and gadzooks! There were a ton of dead roaches, ants, spiders, some strange white bug I have never seen before etc.
I filled out the questionnaire and sent it back and then answered a few questions online about it.
Well, Lightspeed gave me a $5.00 Amazon gift cert for doing it plus, I bombed for free.
I know some people who used to do Lightspeed surveys stopped doing them because they changed the way they pay (you have to earn the credits now rather than just get a flat fee for every survey) but this was well worth it for me.
Paid and free bug death bombs!
I haven't seen any roaches or ants in the house since then either.

Weeeee!

I think I was on this morning to post and then for about 5 minutes to do something for Shell cuz she can't surf the net from work and then again just now.
There are too many of us trying to use this one net connection.
If anyone knows or has a cheap old router for sale, please let me know. Heidi would like to buy one so she can surf from her pc in her room and I can have mine out here.

It's that time of year again for free comic books! Check the FCBD Store Locater to find a store near you that is participating.
Last year was great fun. There were so many kids getting free comics from the store and the library was even giving some away.
A book is a book and if it gets kids to pick something up and read, it's a good thing.

I don't think these are gonna be worth the price at all.
I got a sample, 2 of the New! Dawn Wash & Toss pads in the mail today. I already did my dishes this morning but will give one of these a whirl tonight after dinner.
I buy liquid dish soap for about $2.99 and it lasts me a little over a month because I use a dish stick that you just fill the handle with soap and that's that. I use a scrubbing head on mine, not just the sponge. My stick cost me $1.79 for my intial investment of the stick, one scrubber head already attached and replacement heads are about $1.79 as well and I need to replace the head every 2 months.
Now it says you get 20 of these in a box for approx. $3.59 and you're supposed to throw them away after you're done doing dishes.
Um, there are more than 20 days in a month if you were to only wash dishes once a day. Seems to me you'd be buying these about every 20 days if you wash once a day or every 10 days or less if you do a lot of dishes by hand.
I'll let you know what I think about these after dinner tonight.
But the fact that you don't even get enough to get through a month at once a day, really bothers me.

Hey all, still nothing going on here.
About a month ago, when I was feeling particularly depressed/upset/jubilant over my lack of menses, I found a freebie for Natrol Complete Balance.
I signed up for it and sure a shit, they sent the 2 full bottles that they promised.
Some freebies, say they are gonna send you a full size whatever but they don't.
I still don't know if that's what's going on, I go see the doc on the 24th and will find out for sure. But hey, if any of you others out there need that stuff, there ya go.

Back in February I won a Tops Trump LOTR card game from Hasbro and they sent the cards.
They sent the cards again, today.
The local tv station did this too when I won those Miyazaki DVDs.
Sent me what I won and then sent them again.
I ain't complaining.
I'll just tuck them in the birthday drawer for those surprise birthday parties that show up.
