Today is starting pretty much how yesterday ended.
I have a wicked headache, there is nothing more frustrating than going around and around over an issue.
What's so weird about it is, that all of these bloggers clearly understand the issue, that our blogs are ours, but the powers that be keep saying stupid stuff like no, it is yours, but we're just telling you what to do with all of the posts you write on your blog.
Duh.
That makes it not ours then doesn't it?
Seriously, this is the biggest bunch of circle talkers, I have ever met in my life.
It's gonna be a long, long day.

HDTV for me?
PayPerPost has been having contests every Tuesday for the posties as they call us. In April, it was cash, and now this month, just for blogging, we could win an HDTV or a Slingbox, Nintendo Wii, Yamaha Surround Sound System or a Logitech universal remote. The prizes are being sponsored by Bid 4 prizes, so thanks y'all!
I will try to win one of the prizes. I try every week to win something, it never happens for me, I have bad luck, but it would be so ultra cool to win a Wii.
Sebastian's birthday is June 1st, and a Wii would kick ass for him as a present.
Any of those prizes would be cool to win actually, but like I said, I have bad luck and the opps for the prize posts are always snatched up within seconds.
I will try. I'll click each opp once and if I get the RLOD, (red letters of death) I'll move on.
I hate repeat disappointment. Ha ha
But man, it would be so cool to win that Wii, or even the HDTV they are giving away at the end of the month.
That would be sweet.
Can you imagine the boys faces if they got to play their games on an HDTV?
They would freak out!
So tomorrow, I may be posting a ya I won post, or a bummer, I have such bad luck post.
I'll let ya know.

There will always be critics.
There are people out there who hate blog marketing and are very vocal about it.
Pay Per Post is controversial, but it's not the only pay to blog system out there, they just get more press.
David Berkowitz is the latest in a long line of PPP critics. The most vocal being Jeff Jarvis of course. Jarvis gets paid to blog folks. See those ads? That's payment. Every time he speaks, he's getting paid.
Jarvis is a hypocrite.
But back To Berkowitz. Berkowitz wrote an article for Search Insider, claiming that traditional blogger relations are "exponentially more effective" than a service like PayPerPost.
Ted Murphy of PPP had this to say;
"I founded PayPerPost specifically because traditional blogger relations delivers terrible ROI. I don't know how you measure "effectiveness", but I measure it in terms of the return I provide for my clients, not the amount of time I can bill as an agency "researching appropriate blogs, developing pitches relevant to each blogger, and then making the pitch". Agencies love traditional blogger relations because it is so cost intensive, they can easily bill a client tens of thousands of dollars for "blogger relations" with no promise of anyone writing a single post.
With PayPerPost you only pay for results and those results are immediate. Advertisers can "pitch" to tens of thousands of bloggers at the same time. It is extremely efficient, targeted by topic, low cost and... (trumpets...ba baa ba bummmm) "effective". Dollar for dollar, mention for mention, click for click you can't match the value of PayPerPost. How do I know? Because I ran an agency for years that did traditional blogger relations. I know what it costs and I know how long and time intensive it is. It is true that you can deliver results with the traditional method, but not nearly as quickly or as cost effectively."
I have to agree with him.
I've been doing other paid to blog services, and blog ads, and PPP delivers the best on both ends. For both the advertiser and the blogger.
Most of us only take the advertisements that are relative to us, what we know, who is reading us.
I'm reaching those targets the advertisers are hoping to reach.
But Ted, here's the thing, there will always be critics of things that work. They are critical because they didn't get in on it first. Jealous if you will, that this wasn't their idea.
Jarvis is a perfect example of this. All he does lately is rant and rave about PPP and how it's ruining the traditional relations of bloggers because they are getting paid for their opinion.
I'm getting paid for my opinion on things I would have blogged about anyway. I only take the ads that fit me, who I am, what I know and have used, or would use.
Berkowitz says I'm not being honest with my readers. How so?
I have a disclosure policy, I only write what I know about and would use.
I'm not one of those bloggers that just sees dollar signs and will write an advertorial about some company in some other country unless it truly fits with me.
I write what I know.
My readers would totally know and call me out on it if they thought I was bs'ing them. Trust me, it's happened. My readers are pretty damn vocal with their feedback.
Would I give someone a golden donkey award because they disagree with me, or are being vocal about my affiliation with PPP?
Nah.
I've learned a lot in all the years I've been blogging, and one of those things is to stop giving those people power over me.
By giving them an award, being angry at them, you have given them power over you and letting it affect you.
Take back what's yours Ted.
You started a good thing here, the power is yours so stop giving it away.

Hrm, what could it be?
Pay Per Post has something BIG is coming up in the next couple of weeks.
HUGE.
They aren't telling us what it is. We have to wait for it and try to guess. Post it on our blogs.
Could they be announcing the details for Postie Con? Guest speakers?
Where it's going to be held?
What types of things we will be doing if we go?
Maybe it's a big named advertiser signed up with them.
Maybe the segmentation issues will be fixed to benefit all of us.
Maybe they hired some hot crackerjack to do marketing.
I know they're not moving to a new office, they did that.
Maybe a new contest with a bigger payout.
That would be cool.
Right now the contest payouts have been $1,000.
It would be a battle of the postie all stars if the payout was $5,000 or more.
Maybe, it will be the location and a contest with a huge payout.
Oooooh! Maybe, a big named famous band or act, will be playing or performing at Postie con!
I might actually consider going to Postie Con in Orlando, it's not far from me, if I knew more details.
If a huge named band or performer were slated, I'd seriously consider going.
Right now we have no details at all, so it makes it hard for us to determine if we want to go.
A band, a well known one, with good music, I'd go.

Stuck on you.
Have you ever thought of something really cool to put on a bumper sticker and you hadn't ever seen it anywhere else before?
Now you can create your very own custom stickers.
I've thought about stuff I'd write on bumper stickers a lot, even ones for my windows. Some are just funny sayings, others are more my 'style.'
And I often see really funny ones but can't ever find them to buy, so I think people actually pay to have them printed.
I would actually love to get some custom address labels too.
I had some really cool Scooby Doo ones once, but I want ones that are more me.
I just need to think of what I would actually have printed on them.
I wonder if they would print up some of the stuff I would want.
Hee hee, you know me, some of them would be a little risque, maybe even slightly offensive.
I would do a bunch of atheist ones I know that much.
1-800 stickers makes bumper stickers, window stickers, 1-2 color labels, and full color labels.
Someone with some artistic talent could make some really nice ones, but they also offer free artwork for you.
The site is easy to use and the prices are fair, colors are free and so is the artwork.
I really want a bumper sticker with my favorite quote by Frank Zappa.
"There's a huge difference between kneeling down and bending over."
I think I'm going to go look into ordering it and hand them out to people. I'd love to see 250 of those everywhere.

Going to the chapel.
Pay Per Post has been documenting the startup of the company doing a reality show called Rockstartup.
My favorite episode by far is the video of Jules and Michaels wedding.
Jules and Michael were planning on getting married anyway, but with Pay Per Posts nudging help, they did it in Las Vegas with all the Vegas extras.
Like Elvis.
I actually teared up watching as Jules kissed both her sons after they walked her down the aisle.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and all paid for Pay Per Post.
They have not only created a company on line to help bloggers make money from blogging, but they do good things like this wedding.
I love how they film their daily comings and goings over at PPP headquarters and post them for us to see.
Even when things don't always go perfect, they still show them to us.
Like in episode 10, things didn't exactly go as planned or hoped, but it all worked out at the last minute.
I would love to see more behind the scenes stuff, more personal stuff too.
I like how everyone who works at PPP, is comfortable in front of the camera and treats all the bloggers like close friends as well as employees.
The people get along, they like each other and it shows.
They make the company and the job fun and that's important to me.
I've worked for a lot of places where it was all work and no play, no cohesiveness between employees and management.
PPP is different, they make you want to do this because it's fun and they value your input.

On a magic carpet ride, Well, you don't know what we can see.
I have always loved big beautiful designer rugs that people have in their homes. They look old worldly and classic style. You feel like you've entered a home and gardens showcase home when you see a rug like that.
And if you want a rug like that for your home, now is the time to buy one. It's time for the semi-annual Tufenkian carpet sale. It's going on in three major cities. Scottsdale Arizona, Los Angeles, and it looks like New York City rug is having a sale too.
You can save 50% - 75% on hundreds of discontinued, sample and one-of-a-kind rugs.
If you register, you can save an additional 10%.
One of the great things about these rugs is they do not use child labor to make them.
I think that's great. I hate hearing stories about children being forced to do basically slave labor for things like rugs and clothing.
I'd love to be able to get a beautiful rug like these.

I can see clearly now.
I'm so thrilled to have new contacts, I can't even begin to tell you. I went out for lunch today with my sis and the boys and ah, things were crystal clear again, it rocked. I have worn contacts since about 1987, and colored contact lenses since about 1989.
Some of the most important things to me about being able to buy lenses on line is number one, price of course, then availability of the lenses I need, and then shipping options.
I could have easily waited another week for them to get here, but the fact that two day shipping was available, was a really great option.
Ordered on Wednesday around 4am, and had them by Friday at noon.
Awesomeness.
I've been buying my lenses on line for the last six or seven years, so having good prices, the best deals, on line coupon codes, and good shipping options is mega important to me.
It was just so nice to be in the car today and being able to read street signs again.
I'll try to be better about ordering every year on time now, instead of whenever I have the money.
February 19, 2007
Ooooh, sparkly.
I've received two engagement rings in my life. One from the ex-hubsy that wasn't much to brag about, but I was in lurve so that's all that mattered.
The other one blew me away. It wasn't huge by any means, but just really perfect for who I am, my style.
If I ever get married again, (Ha!)I want a nice one this time. Not super big, but really nice.
This one would actually be perfect. I love this one. A heart shaped diamond with two aquamarine side stones, 18k white gold with palladium.
Hell, if I had the money, I'd buy it for myself...LOL
Who says it has to be an engagement ring? Women can buy themselves diamonds.

DJ's spinnin' are savin' my mind.
Have you checked out Unsigned.com yet? They have every type of music you could possibly want to listen to from unsigned rap bands, to metalcore.
I love the search feature. Just pick a genre, any genre, they have tons of them listed, hit submit, and you're on your way to finding great new music to check out.
The musics player quality is good and loads fast, better than a lot of other sites music players.
It really does load quite fast, no skipping or stopping so it can catch up.
The site is extremely user friendly. Very easy to navigate and find what you want.
There are so many great artists on Unsigned.com, it's hard to believe they haven't been signed yet.
The Thirty Fathom Grave is kickin'.

An intercity disco, The wheels of steel are turning
Have you ever rented or been on, a party bus?
I have and it's tons of fun.
With Royal American tours, you have many options to choose from when planning a group gathering that requires transportation.
You can get a motor coach rental, a party bus rental, a charter bus rental, and even an SUV.
They have charter buses for some of their own pre-planned trip packages which look like a lot of fun. There's an easy to fill out form so you can get a free quote on a party bus rental if you're planning an event such as a bachelor, or bachelorette party.
I've been on 3 bachelorette party buses and it was just too much fun. No one is driving after drinking, everyone is safely transported to and from the event, clubs or bars, and everyone had a great time at all 3 I went to.
I know a couple who recently got married and had a combined bachelor/bachelorette party, and rented a party bus.
They had such an amazing good time and said they would not only do it again, but they highly recommended it to everyone they spoke to about their party.

Flash! Ah ahhhh!
One of the things I like about Sebastian's camera is that it has no batteries to run down. It charges using a USB cable. One cable to charge it and upload our pictures to any computer anywhere.
It was super easy teaching him to use it to. He was kinda freaked out he was going to break his camera if he had to open it up to install and remove batteries all the time.
While we were in Maine, I took a lot of pictures, but his camera only holds so many, so I had to upload them to my moms computer. I tried sending the pictures to my own email account so I'd have them when we got home, but on dial up, it was taking forever.
So on one of the days that Shell and I spent just hanging out together with none of the kids, I bought a flash drive.
One of the better computer accessories I've purchased. Looks just like this one, but doesn't fold.

It's a one gig, and it holds a ton of pictures on it. I love it.
So now when we go places, like we're planning another trip to Maine this summer, I'll be able to take a lot of pictures again and be able to safely transfer them to the flash drive and bring them home.
February 16, 2007
I had such a good experience with them.
I'm talking about using Coupon Chief. I went through them to buy my contacts and because I got such a great deal, saved over $100 on them, I was able to pay for fast shipping like I posted this morning.
I have quite a few birthdays coming up soon, and I know that K.B. Toys coupons on video games, so I'm going to be sure to use them again to get the boys the games they want. I'll be able to either get free shipping, or save a few dollars off if I use my Visa.

More information on the review my post program.
Pay Per post has the review my post program which I've blogged about before. This is a great way for bloggers to increase blog traffic.
Not only for the people who do PPP, but for you.
So here's a little more information about it.
It's perfect for bloggers who want to make money but not write actual sponsored posts.
Once you sign up by clicking the button and your blog gets approved, you can then write reviews about any blog that has a post with that button and you will make $7.50.
Of course, once you're blog has been approved, you'd be able to take sponsored posts anytime you wanted to.
But say you don't feel like doing sponsored posts, all you have to do to make a few bucks is review my post, or any other site that has the button.
And because you'd be in the system, you could place the review my post button on your posts as well, and make a few bucks if someone else signs up and reviews any of your posts.
It's an affiliate program basically.
You review a site, someone reviews you.
And by reviewing other sites, you'd be linking to their site which increases that persons traffic, but also yours, because most bloggers would link you back to say thanks for the review.
And how you review their post is entirely up to you.
Hated it? say so. Loved it? say so. It's all up to you.

Do you podcast?
If you do, you can now get free podcast hosting.
Really popular podcasts can drain your sites bandwidth by a full terabyte monthly. Can you handle that kind of traffic?
If not, Mypodcast.com is the place to host yours.
They offer free software which will help you record your podcast, uploads it to your page automatically, and contains no spyware.
You can even make money from your podcast.
That's pretty cool.
I don't know of too many sites that will do all of that absolutely free,
I have a few podcasts I listen to weekly, and really enjoy them.
Some are just for fun, others are more political. I like to stay on top of politics and have found some decent, intelligent podcasts that break it down so everyone can understand what's what.

London calling at the top of the dial.
Have I told you I love my prepaid phone?
All three of us have pre-paid phones through Virgin Mobile. We love our phones.
What I love most about it is that I decide how much I spend on it every month, how often I buy minutes for it. Same with the kids. I decide how long they can talk.
They are teenagers, and teens can talk up a storm.
I can only imagine if I had signed a contract with a company and just got billed every month, how much our bills would be.
Egads.
One of the main reasons I went with pre-paid is because my credit is crap, I've talked about that before.
Pre-paid is the way to go if you have that issue.
You have the security of having a cell on you when an emergency happens, which is why most people buy cells to begin with.
They are also perfect if you're not a heavy user which I'm not.
I use it probably total of 8 days a month for less than 20 minutes.
I use it basically to call the teens and check on them while I'm out, or to call home and say how late I'm going to be.
Mark likes liked taking his to school and texting me all day. I put a stop to that pronto. He also uses it to call and ask if he can go to his friends house after school. There are no public phones at school for them to use.
Sebastian uses his to talk to his friends too, just not as much as mark. I'm sure that will come with age.
I know a lot of people who have pre-paid phones. It works for a lot of people. People who don't use it much, or people who prefer to knowing exactly how much they are spending versus an unexpected bill every month.

Have a high traffic blog?
Then join Pay Per Post and get paid to blog.
Pay Per Post has begun segmentation. This means that the higher page ranked blogs, are earning the bigger dollars.
Have a Google page rank of 7 or 8? You could earn $1,000.
I'm not kidding.
There are a ton of opps listed right now for really high pay but you have to have the stats to get them.
Am I jealous? Only slightly.
With segmentation, I am still getting really good paying opps every single day.
Just yesterday, I made $65. Just for blogging like I normally do.
And unlike other pay to blog services, Pay Per Post only takes a 35% service fee. Some of the other ones have a 100% markup.
I posted a few days ago how there's much grumbling by some of the PPP posties about segmentation, coding errors and such.
It's been a long hard week with many coding errors that had to be debugged.
They have been working non-stop to get those issues fixed.
One of those issues related directly to segmentation.
In order to get the absolute stat results, they have had to make partnerships with other companies to gather all that information, then make new code to be able to "grab" it and use it so that segmentation works exactly as it should.
With higher ranked blogs being able to take and make, the bigger money, and lower ranked blogs still being able to get opps and allowing them to improve their ranks as well.
It's not all about high ranked blogs, but segmentation is what the advertisers asked for and are getting.
They want specific things and it's working.
If you decide to join Pay Per Post, please note that disclosure is required, either on a per post basis, or a site-wide policy.

Looking for a car in Jacksonville?
USA4SALE Networks, Inc., has launched their latest classified site, Jacksonville Classifieds.
From their press release;
Jax4sale.com offers free classified ads for private sellers in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Jax4sale.com is the latest classified site from USA4SALE Networks, Inc., which launched its first site in 1998. The company now has sites serving all of central Florida, including Ocala4sale.com, Gainesville4sale.com, Orlando4sale.com and Tampa4sale.com. The oldest and largest of the sites, Ocala4sale.com, logged 380,000 visitors in January and boasts a local inventory of more than 10,000 classifieds.
The classifieds are free in most categories, and they also offer featured photo classifieds.
Not only do they have cars, but there are homes for sale, pets, computers, games, furniture.
The site is very easy to navigate, the process for posting a new classified, is very easy and descriptive, prices are competitive with other on line classifieds.
They also have a section for local Jacksonville area events. It looks like one stop classifieds shopping and ad placement, for the local Jacksonville market.

Need an email newsletter just for your blog?
I've been noticing lately that some bloggers are using email to alert me to their latest posts. This has actually helped me in remembering to visit their blogs because sometimes the ping services are not working, or my feed reader has stopped working for their site. That's happened with 3 different blogs since last week. I keep adding the feeds back, and they disappear again.
I also have so many blogs that I have in my blogroll and on my feed reader, that I tend to miss a few.
Being able to setup and use a blog email service, would come in handy.
Zookoda is a FREE email newsletter program that allows bloggers to send emails to their readers to alert them of new posts and keep their readership up.
It's very simple to use, Zookoda gives you the html code to place a subscription form on your blog, your readers then choose to subscribe themselves, no spamming from you.
Then you choose which feed you wish to broadcast, pick out a template, and schedule your broadcast.
You choose how often you broadcast, daily, weekly or monthly.
It's that easy.
There's nothing to install on your computer, it's all hosted on their site, and you don't have to worry about downloading or installing the latest versions when they update. It's all on their end.
It's also secure. They have a strict privacy policy and won't sell or trade your email or your subscription lists, to anyone else.
I know a few bloggers who could actually use this program, they already send me emails, why not allow readers to opt in?
I'm definitely going to give this a try. It looks interesting and easy enough to do.

A bad credit loan may help in my situation.
As I am starting to gather more finances, I have started thinking more about bad credit loans and how one could help me in my bad credit situation.
My credit is terrible and while I've managed to get most of it cleared up, I still have a really low score. I can't get a credit card if promised to clean an entire bank 7 days a week from top to bottom including doing the windows.
I wouldn't want to do an unsecured one because the fees on those are insanely high and just not right for me.
But a secured credit card would work.
If I worked really hard to save up the initial money, about $5,000, I could get 2-3 secured credit cards and start building my FICO score up using those cards, and then not default on the payments.
I'd be earning interest on those accounts and when FICO is scoring them, it would appear as 2-3 revolving accounts as opposed to just 1 which looks better to them.
It may take me awhile to save up for the initial investment, but this looks like it might be my only way to repair the damage done to my report.
I'm sure I could find secured cards for less than that amount, but $5,000 in 2-3 accounts would add up and improve my score faster.

$200 handbags at the Gap?
I haven't shopped at the Gap in ages. Once the store in Maine stopped carrying Levis and only sold gap brand jeans, I stopped shopping there. I just didn't feel the quality was as good. Gap is trying to reinvent itself as Belisi has pointed out here; Belisi: luxe handbags at the Gap?
I have to agree with this article. It's totally spot on.
Gap jeans are not cool, and like I pointed out above, not as good in quality in my opinion.
So they have started trying to be more upscale by selling expensive handbags.
I just cannot see anyone paying $200 for a Gap brand handbag.
I actually have trouble believing people actually pay that much for brands like Coach and Prada.
It's a handbag.
I don't think, no, I know, I have never even paid close to that amount for a handbag and I certainly wouldn't pay that much for one made by Gap with that little blue tag in it.
I'm not so sure women will pay that kind of money for a Gap brand purse or hobo.
It just seems kind of ridiculous to me.
I can hardly wait to see what they roll out for the next advertising campaign. I just really hope it's not more annoying commercials.
February 12, 2007
There's a lot of uproar lately.
I'm talking about Pay Per Post.
I'm sure a lot of you are sick of hearing about it, maybe even tired of seeing opps on blogs, thinking we sold out and stuff.
I didn't sell out, I upgraded...LOL
This money, all $517.27 that I've earned, has helped me tremendously in paying my bills and being able to afford things we want.
But the uproar I'm talking about is some posties (a nickname given to bloggers who do it) being furious when the new features PPP have rolled out, don't work instantaneously like magic.
The program itself is in beta, there are bound to be coding errors made, and the dev team works long hard hours around the clock to fix them as they come up.
Some of the posties are demanding things get fixed immediately because they are losing money.
Ok, I can see that, we all lost money the other day when the coding was screwed up, but where would these people be without PPP? They wouldn't have that money anyway.
While in Maine 2 weeks ago, I didn't take a single opp. I guess you could say I lost money, but not really.
This is all money I didn't have before and I'm grateful for every penny I've made.
I read one postie say that they have to earn xxx amount of money from PPP every single day.
Really? You have to?
Let me ask again, where would these people be if PPP hadn't come along? They wouldn't be earning any amount any day, or they'd have to find other ways of making xxx amount every day.
Do you see what I'm getting at? Pay Per Post is something that has afforded many of us the opportunity to supplement our income doing something we already do, blog.
If it wasn't here, where would they be?
It's like kicking the gift horse in the teeth every day because it's not all perfect all the time. It happens. I can deal with glitches and coding errors.
While frustrating as it may be when the coding breaks and I can't make money on a day when they roll out a new feature that doesn't work perfectly right away, I remind myself where I'd be without it.
I'd be struggling to pay my bills again. I'd be robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I would hate to think I'm in the minority with my view of PPP being a good thing even with the glitches and coding bugs, but I have seen a lot of negativity over the last few days regarding the new beta.
I find it all very sad in a 'I forgot how to say thank you' kind of way.
I am saying thank you for helping me not struggle so much anymore.

Do you wanna know how it feels?
I was just checking out the recent winner of The 2006 Singer/Songwriter Awards, KIFF, for the song How it Feels.
It's really good.
Very catchy, I like it.
I also really like Follow the Leader and Talk to Me.
I can easily see his songs being played on random in my cd player.
It's different than what I usually listen to but I like it.
The lyrics are what caught me.
I love music that makes me think, makes me feel something.
I love the piano and it's heavy in most of the songs. Most of the songs are very soothing and melodic, catchy, emotion filled.
So if you're looking for something a little different, something that you could listen to by yourself or even hanging out with friends, I recommend, and can see people listening to and enjoying KIFF very much.

Pay Per Post and you.
I really have been enjoying Pay Per Post a lot. Because of PPP, I have been able to build traffic coming into my site through link exchanges with other bloggers and other sites.
They have been working on the new review my post program. I do think it's a great idea, get more bloggers in the PPP system making money really easily.
PPP is perfect for stay at home moms, people who already work from home, or just anybody who wants to make a little extra income.
I think the only thing I would change about the review my post program is how new bloggers can get into it.
Currently, if you click that button, you will sign up and wait to get your blog approved. That can take anywhere from a few days to one week.
people like instant gratification.
They want to know that within X amount of days, they will have the fee for writing the review, sitting in their paypal account.
That's how it should be.
I really am all for new people signing up, I want other stay at home people to be able to earn money and enjoy it. It's easy to do, I've had so much fun doing some of the opportunities.
I love the travel opps and jewelry opps, the oddball ones, the fun stuff.
I have also enjoyed the more serious ones, it gave me a chance to talk about some more serious aspects of my own life.
There is a lot of criticism of pay to blog services out there, but I feel like this is just like having a blog ad on my site. Lots of bloggers get compensated for their writing in one way or another.
I personally haven't experienced any backlash from doing it, in fact, I get lots of people asking me if it's real, am I really getting paid and how can they get in on it.
Well here's how.

I'm paying my bills and saving money.
As most of you know, I write posts for Pay Per Post, advertisers can pay to advertise on blogs, and in just a little over one month, I have made a total of $471.77.
With the money I've been earning, I've been able to stay on top of my bills and actually have a few bucks to do fun stuff with every month.
While on vacation last week, having daily payments coming in from PPP and PayPal, I was able to transfer it over to my debit card and have money to spend the whole time we were up there.
That was awesome.
Having a constant daily flow of money coming in, allows me to pay all those unexpected bills that show up, buy things we need like todays Nyquil and Tylenol purchases, and just general fun stuff.
I am now saving up funds to take the boys and myself back to Maine during the summer to visit with friends and family again.
Summers are just easier to do things up there, easier on me as well.
The boys are dying to go back and all of our family and friends made sure to guilt tell us how much they want to see us again this coming summer.
So of course I'm trying to save up the money to go back.
Even with some of the features they have rolled out in the new release which included segmentation based on PR and were your blog is hosted, I have had no problems taking opportunities to post about and keep my steady daily income flowing in.

Bling a-ling ring.
I absolutely love body jewelry and have multiple piercings and plan on getting more. One that I always have wanted is a Belly Button Ring.
I need to get my organs back where they belong first, but I plan on doing it eventually along with some other ones.
I really like this one, the first one pictured at the top of the page.
I really like this nipple shield as well. It's very cool.
There's so many pieces on that site that I would buy and wear, too many to choose from. I'm definitely going to have to scour the whole site and pick some stuff out.
The prices are extremely reasonable as well if you're looking for just standard pieces or titanium. I like titanium the best of all body jewelry. I've had some stuff from other places that was just garbage that turned colors and gave me problems.
All I really need now is a tattoo artist willing to do the zipper pull idea and I'll be good to go.

Sunshine, on my shoulder makes me happy.
As most of you know, I just came back from visiting my folks and friends back in Maine. The frozen tundra.
I lived there for 27 years before I finally decided to move to Florida where my sister was already living.
It was a combination of reasons for me to move, but one of the biggest reasons was I couldn't stand the cold weather anymore.
I had two toddlers to bundle up in layers of clothing and snow suits, just to go grocery shopping. My back was starting to really react to the weather as well, and it would be painful at times to go outside.
Much like it was last week when I visited.
It was bitterly cold, in the negatives most days.
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting everyone, but could not wait to get back home to sunny Florida.
There's a ton of property in Florida for sale these days.
New houses are being built around the clock in beautiful areas close to theme parks and major cities, or way out in the middle of nowhere if you like the quiet.
A lot of people from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, have been moving here as I've noticed more and more people with that accent here year round.
When I worked at Publix, I used to ask people if they were just visiting or if they moved here based on their English accent. More people said they lived here so I stopped asking.
Florida seems to be the place people move to when they want to get away from the cold weather and are looking to start over some place where the sun shines year round.

I *heart* ecards.
I am terrible at snail mail for a multitude of things, packages, regular mail, Christmas, birthday etc, so when I can send an e-card, I do. Egreetings.com has so many cards to choose from, funny, touching to sexy birthday eCards.

They offer a free 30-day trial membership to send unlimited eCards, and a yearly subscription is only $13.99.
That's a pretty good deal. I've seen other ecard sites charge way much more than that often charging by the month.
One of the things I like most about membership with them is that I can schedule when the card will be delivered.
I can sit down and pick out, and schedule cards to be sent all throughout the whole year making forgetting someone's day impossible.
I tend to forget things sometimes.
There's just so many ecards to choose from, funny, animated, risque, etc, you'd be hard pressed not to find one to suit that special someone.
I often just send them out just because I feel like making someone laugh or smile.

Free money making content for your site? Yes way!
Oddball Auctions has created a free wordpress widget that adds a small widget to your site for funny auctions on Ebay.
You can enter your Ebay ID and earn 50% of the sales generated if someone clicks through your widget.
Don't use word press? That's ok because they offer a javascript feed for them as well so you can place them on any type of site.
The auctions are truly funny, take for example these ones I just found on my widget; the worlds ugliest dish or, a gag gift for your hubby or boyfriend that shows a positive pregnancy test. Maybe you are in need of an astronaut diaper or how about a storage container for boogers you've picked?
Each auction opens in a new tab or window, so you don't lose the visitor from your site and the auctions are updated every day, so you always have fresh, free content.
Did I mention if you add in your Ebay Id you get 50% of the sales generated? I did? I just wanted to make sure you knew.
It's an absolutely fast and simple way to generate some income without having to do any major work for it.
If you can install a line of code, you can start making some easy money.

Ouch! It rips! It burns! Is it supposed to bleed?!
In my quest for permanent hair removal, I think I have used everything that has ever been made and sold.
At around age 15, I asked my mom to get me an Epilady for Christmas. I was sure this was the answer to hair free legs. I mean, the commercials showed women using it with huge smiles on their faces. How bad could this possibly hurt if these women were all smiling?
I'll tell you how bad it hurt. My legs were bleeding.
That machine grabbed my leg hairs and spun in a circle with it's slinky like coils, and ripped the hair out in huge chunks.
I screamed into my pillow, I wept as quietly as I could so my mother would not hear my total disappointment with this product I begged for for about 6 months previous to Christmas.
Egads that things hurt like the dickens.
I still freak out when I see any slinky like metal objects.

I tried waxing once. Too painful.
I have used Nair, it worked ok. I have used many, many depilatories and I found a few I really totally love.
I tried hair inhibitors. Yay for red bumpy ingrown hairs. Not.
Sugaring was actually kind of stupid.
Nads was just the most hysterical named product ever to hit the market but it worked ok. Not great, just ok.
I really think I have honestly tried every single hair removal kit, wax, sugar, epilator, electrolysis machine, and depilatory ever made.
I actually had this home electrolysis machine that had this tiny needle you were supposed to slide into the hair follicle and hold it there for 10 seconds while it killed the root.
That obviously didn't work as well as the product and commercials claimed it would.
It hurt too. I was shoving a needle deep into my skin people.
Talk about a stupid hair removal attempt on my part.
Over all, I prefer depilatories to any of the hair removal products. Some work better than others, but they seem to be most effective and least painful. For me anyway.

Belisi rocks.
Peter Belisi, of Belisi fashion, has launched a new radio station called Belisi Radio.
It contains all the music that Peter believes is beautiful and goes well with his sense of style and fashion.
It features today’s hottest artists, music legends, progressive lounge tracks, jazz, and country and rock favorites.
“Belisi Music is my attempt to take the same qualities I look for in fashion – sophisticated, classic, beautiful – and take it to music."
I'd have to agree with him.
The music he has chosen for his station is beautiful and timeless. It ranges from new rock to classics.
There are some pop songs, some rock, and some blues.
I've been listening to it for the past hour and it's a really nice collection of music.
Go check it out, you won't be disappointed. It has something for everyones musical tastes.

MD Formulations

MD Formulations is a site that has scientifically advanced skincare products.
SkinCeuticals is designed to prevent future damage, protect healthy skin, and correct previous damage.
Eminence Organic Skin Care is one of the top professional skin care products which delivers the highest quality natural skin care to top salons and spas.
Guinot covers three specific categories- face, body and sun.
Overall, these products look great, help prevent and correct any damage sun and aging have done. Let's face it, living in Florida, between sun and aging, my skin could use all the help it can get.
I wonder if they offer any help for gray hair.
MD Formulations also offers other great products like Bare Escentuals and Yonka. Both get rave reviews from many of my friends. I'll have to check out some of their corrective products. The sun is taking a toll on me.

Hrm, not so sure about this.
While I have been gone, Pay Per Post has unveiled some new changes.
One of them is this button;
*REMOVED* I removed the button due to it being broken currently.
This button allows you, my readers, to get paid $7.50 to review my posts and in turn become members of PPP yourselves.
They would like us to add that button to all of our posts, not just the paid opps.
I'm all for making money and letting you guys make money, (I would be paid $7.50 as well if you review my posts) but I'm really not to keen on having that button on every single post I make.
It's not ugly per se, but I just don't know how I feel about having it at the end of every single post I make. It would mean altering my blog code so it just automatically appears on every post.
One of the other things that disturbed me is the rating system by the advertisers.
Someone just pointed out on the forums that they have a low advertisers rating and someone else pointed out that it is because they used the dreaded F word.
Now y'all know me, the F word is part of my vocabulary. I'm not afraid to use it when it's called for, and it's not nearly as bad as people think. That word just has a bad rap.
It's been around for hundreds of years and used by some of the greatest literary writers of our modern times.
Have I used it in any paid posts? Of course not. Would I use it in a paid post? of course not.
I feel it's a form of censorship and I don't agree with it.
My overall advertisers rating is decent, I'm happy with it, but will other advertisers start rating me low because I dropped the F bomb simply because they are offended by it?
It's a word, plain and simple, a word. This is a blog that uses words by it's very nature of what a blog is, and to tell people they will be rated low because of a word is wrong. What others words will they decide they don't like?
Gah.
*EDIT*
I removed the review my post button because it does not work like it's supposed to.
Right now, if you were to click it, you can't complete the paid opp because your blog is not approved. Interesting to me that they rolled out a feature that does not work as it's supposed to.

I wouldn't hesitate.
i wouldn't think twice about sending one of my kids to a adolescent treatment program if they end up having a drug or alcohol problem.
It's the best thing for them. They would hate me, pitch a fit, storm out of the house and say they aren't going, but I'd make them go.
I've talked about my past a few years ago, probably not again since changing hosting companies in 2004, but I had a drug and alcohol problem.
I was one of those teens who partied like I was gonna die the next day. And truth be told, if I had kept it up, I probably would have.
My parents did not send me to a treatment center because I was not living with them. I had moved out and was living with this girl named Jen when I decided to check myself into one.
I had already been partying for years before moving out. My parents did all the right things to try and help me, try to stop me from self destructing, but I was addicted to the booze. Alcohol more than drugs.
Not saying I didn't do drugs because I did, lots of them.
I pretty much had done every single drug that made it's way into the state of Maine from either Canada or Massachusetts.
Acid, hash, pot, coke, ecstasy, meth. Yeah, I tried meth. It totally wasn't my thing. That one night was not enjoyable at all.
But what sent me to rehab at age 18, was throwing up blood every single morning upon wakening. I blew it off for weeks at a time, ignoring that something was seriously wrong with me.
And it wasn't just blood, it was massive stomach aches, fevers, chills, sweats, if I didn't drink.
Vodka was my best friend. Absolute and I had a very strong relationship let me tell ya. I loved it and it loved me, and without it, I hurt till tears ran down my face.
I went and sought treatment at a rehab where I spent the first 3 days strapped to a bed in painful withdrawals while nurses and doctors took blood samples and xrays and sonograms. They took urine and stool samples, had gastro docs shoving camera tubes down my throat to look at the damage my short but hard years of drinking had done to my esophagus and stomach.
It wasn't pretty.
I had liver damage and that was the start of my ulcer as well.
Too much booze, not enough food, causes more problems than one can imagine.
If my kids ever showed the signs of having a problem with drugs, alcohol, or severe emotional problems like cutting and stuff, I'd seek treatment, probably at a place like this.
They seem to have a very good program going here.
Looking at what they provide, individualized plans for your loved ones problem, is a great start. No cookie cutter fix 'em up and ship 'em back home plans here.
The areas of focus are; Physical Health, Emotional Health, Social Health, Family Health, Spiritual Health and Educational Needs, all based on your loved ones problems.
One of the things I particularly like about their plans is "No religious belief system is required for participation in the program."
That was one of my biggest issues when I was being treated. They made you say prayers, made you read the bible, say grace before meals, all that God stuff.
It wasn't for me and I can tell ya, I had more personal meetings with counselors over that one issue than anything else.
A counselor told me to conform, be like water.
See, water is this very strong, powerful force, but it bends and moves and shrinks and grows, to fit into all the spaces it needs to go.
Between some tight rocks, it stretched itself thin to get in. Cover an entire beach, it grew and expanded to fit. It conformed.
Be like water Kat, conform.
I simply couldn't conform on the god thing.
A plan that lets each person be who they are and believe or disbelieve, and they will still help you, is a great plan.
Don't take away a person's one firm belief and feed them another, to conquer their demons. It won't work.
Work with them, see who they are, let them be who they are and they will work with you to get better, to be free from their problems.
I really like their tag line,
Recovery through empowerment.
Show them they are strong so they can recover.

Those were the days.
One of the other soaps I used to watch when I was a kid was General Hospital. I recall the grand old days with Luke and Laura, the adventures, the evil Cassadine family that had Luke and Laura on the run.
These days, I occasionally catch an episode here and there, but it just doesn't have that same feeling to it anymore. The fun is missing in my opinion.
It seems that every time I watch it now, it's doom and gloom type stuff. Even looking ahead in the General Hospital spoilers, there's a ton of doom and gloom.
I still watch the show when I can, and being able to check it out on Soaps.com helps me try and get caught up on it when I do catch an episode.
I like knowing who people are, so many new characters all the time these days.
It's nice to see a lot of the old cast members still on the show, I know who they are, but man oh man, was I ever confused when they switched Carly's a bunch of times.
January 26, 2007
Erica Kane let no one say your 2nd best
One of the other soaps I grew up watching was All my Children.
It's on at a competing time for my fave soap ever that's being canceled, but thanks to All My Children Spoilers, I can still keep up.
My parents still watch this everyday so while there this coming week, I'm sure I'll actually watch it at least a few times.
Soaps.com has great coverage of the show with recaps and pictures, polls, and message boards.
I'm going to read through it today so I can sort of know what's going on when watching it with mom an dad.
I really love the way the whole site is laid out, it's just so easy to find your fave show and get all the information on the actors and actresses you love, and catch up on missed episodes and even look ahead with spoilers.
Oh No! Not Dixie!
But really, how many times is she going to die on this show anyway?

What's beautiful to you?
Peter Belisi has a new blog all about Belisi Fashions, it's called Being Belisi.
On his blog, Peter gives tips to those of us who want to stay on the high end of fashion with a cheat sheet to keep you in the know about all that is fashion.
I really love the section on how to be creative simply by adding a silky scarf to your outfit for an instant touch up to make you look good.
And I absolutely love that red handbag! Does it come in black?
There's also a great section on current affairs and celebs where he discusses who looked good, who had a classic design, and which outfits the celebs wore that were simply amazing and on fire.
If you want to keep up with all that is fashion, I'm definitely suggesting you check out Being Belisi.
I love those handbags!

You smell purty.
I have serious scent allergies, mostly to perfumes, but definitely to those stupid scented brooms at Publix.
But anyway, there are certain perfumes that don't bother me and when I find them, I tend to buy them if I like them.
I absolutely love Tresor, Chloe, Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder, Very Irresistible by Givenchy, Addict by Dior, and Delicious by DKNY. None of these bother me so when I buy perfume, it's usually one of those.
I love smelly stuff, I just wish some of them didn't make me want to throw up.
I need to get more Beyond Paradise. I'm down to nothing. Such a pretty bottle too.

Who wants to date a millionaire?
There's a new dating site out there, it's called Date A Millionaire.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. The catch phrase of the site is "Find your sugar daddy today!"
With that phrase alone, it is implying that if you are a gold digging, trifling, scandalous woman, this is the dating site for you.
But I saw a few guys on there too.
Guys who are clearly looking for Ms. Moneybags.
I'm sure it's hard for the truly wealthy to find true love. I'm sure they always have it in the back of their minds that that sweet, kind woman, really doesn't love him, but totally is grooving on his money.
It must be hard. They can definitely afford to fool around with whomever they choose, plenty of arm candy is willing to hang out with them, but love? True love? That's gotta be rough.
I'm not so sure if I was a millionaire, that I would use a site like this though.
Maybe some of these people are really interested in finding their soul mate but c'mon! It says find your sugar daddy!
But, if it makes them happy, and maybe they can find a true loving match on there, more power to them.

And so are the days of our lives.
I grew up watching Days of our Lives. My mom used to watch it, my grandmother, like five of my aunts.
My aunt Kathy, whom I'm named after, used to record it on days she had to work.
It's a family tradition to watch it. My sons even watch it.
Not so much this year because school hours have changed and now they don't get home until it's over, but they come in an ask me what happened on Days today. Kinda funny.
There's a section on Soaps.com, dedicated to just Days of our Lives.
It's laid out well, much like a blog. Members (which it's free to register by the way) can leave comments on the articles they post. Mostly show recaps, news bits, and star of the week.
This week it's Bryan Dattilo who plays Lucas Roberts.

Mmmm, Lucas Roberts. Something about that sharp jaw and brown eyes. Maybe it's just the eyes, I have a thing for brown eyes.
They also have a weekly poll to vote on the question of the week. They pertain to what's happening with characters in the show. I totally voted for Belle and Shawn even though I dislike the new chick who plays Belle. Somethings just not right about the size and shape of her head. I know I'm not the only one who thinks that either. When she was first brought on, Mark says to me; "Mom, what's wrong with her head?"
They have a picture of the day, (screencaps from the show) and even more pictures if you click the little icon.
They tell you whose birthday is coming up in the month for those of you who follow certain stars and need to know these things.
There's a lot of links on the left sidebar to look at things like spoilers, comings and goings of actors, and they have a full cast list so if you're looking for the name of the guy who plays Max Brady for instance, you can find him easily. Mmmm, Max Brady. Another dark haired, dark eyed hottie.
All in all, I find the page easy to use, colors are easy on the eyes, layout is good. I've been finding the entire site very easy to use and a great resource for stying up on all my fave soaps.

Finish him!
I have quite a few friends who actually do mixed martial arts and a girl I know, is actually going to be in a MMA match this spring, she's been training all winter for it and has had a few non-ranked matches, and won.
A lot of the house parties we go to, are usually held on nights for UFC Pride fights, and it's an awesome time. Everybody hanging out, kicking back a few, watching guys beat the tar out of each other. It's a really good time.
But now you can play fantasy MMA matches for free.
There are so many fantasy sports teams and sites out there, why not one for UFC Pride and MMA? I know all my friends who are into it are going to love this site.
If you check out the FAQ's, you can see the rules for playing, how it's played and what the site is all about. It's just like any other fantasy sporting site, only for MMA.
That's awesome!
So if MMA and UFC is your sport, love to watch it, want to be involved, check it out.

Dress you up in my love.
You guys ever go to those dollmaker sites?
I tend to get sucked in by all the pretty little doll thingies when I come across one.
I came across this one, Dress Up Games, the other day and have spent I can't even tell you how many hours now, just making these dolls.
I don't know why...LOL
I think it's because you can make them look any way you want them to.
Eye color, hair color, clothing, poses, add ons, pets, backgrounds etc.

They call them doll maker dress up games. Some of them you can do for free, other ones are premium accounts and come with more accessories, or ways to make them look. Like you can make pregnant ones. I didn't know that.
You can make all kinds of fantasy dolls too. With wings and wild hair colors like blue.

It seems to be a pretty popular site because they have pages and pages of user submitted dolls, from punks and thuggers to fairies and goths.
It's kinda pretty.
I really have spent hours and hours playing on these sites, and before I know it, it's like 4am and I should have been in bed hours ago.
I made this one today. I was in need of stress relief. Not as good as some of the ones on the site, but hey, I like her.

No! Not Passions!

I love watching my soaps, I watch two of them, Passions and Days of Our Lives. I was reading today on Soap Opera News, that Passions is going to be canceled in August.
Noooo!
This is totally not fair. I love that show!
It's the only soap that is so completely far out there, you just have to laugh and love it.
Witches, nurse monkeys, crazy psycho killers, baby momma drama and so on.
NBC is so getting an email from me.
I wouldn't have even known about this tragic news if I hadn't checked out Soaps.com.
This site has all the latest news on all the soaps in and easy to find way. Just click list of shows, click your show, and bam! You have latest updates, cast news, recaps on episodes, and insider information on characters.
I like the way the site is laid out, it's easy on the eyes and easy to navigate.
The only thing I could think of to make it any better than what it already is, is perhaps a photo gallery to go with their star of the week for each show. Just an additional five to six pictures, to give people just a bit more.
Other than that, I love the site and I am so glad I found it.

Having bad credit sucks.
I've often thought about getting bad credit personal loans, to try and repair my very bad credit.
I've talked about my ex-mother in law and her scummy husband Billy, on here before and what they did to my credit, and her own daughter Heather's credit, many times.
It infuriates me how easy it is for people to steal other people's names and ID, and go on a spending spree across the country, ruining our credit in the process.
I have a Mastercard in Utah, utility bills in Texas and California. Who knows what she actually did to me while she lived in Maine. I'm scared to ever find out.
Because of what she did, I have to pay cash for everything I buy.
I have been able to get a couple of pre-paid debit/credit cards through Amscot and Virgin Mobile, but neither of them report to the credit bureaus.
What I want is a pre-paid credit card that reports to the credit agencies so I can build good credit.
I want to eventually be able to buy my own home, and to do that, I need good credit.
A lot of what Sheila did to me has fallen off my reports, it's been over 16 years since she stole my information, and it's all been reported to law enforcement agencies and all the credit agencies, that the only authorized user for my information is me.
There is a warning at the social security office to watch my SS number for any state other than Florida, where I live now.
If anything shows up in say California again, some kind of flash hits whatever screen the person is trying to enter the information into, and the credit will be denied.
But this still doesn't help me right now. I still have a few items on my credit report that she did to me.
I am in serious need of credit report repair but don't even have the know how on where to begin with all of that.
So when I come across sites like Credit Loan.com, I always check them out and see what kind of help I can get.
I hate the credit rating system in this country. Not just because if you have bad credit, you're going to be denied thing, but because even if you have no credit whatsoever, it's seen as a very bad thing.
How can not having over spent and lived beyond your means, be a bad thing?

With Pingo, you can save a ton of money on those calls.

You decide how much you put on your card, and then just call the places and people you want for very low rates.
If you sign up for Pingo, you will receive up to 4 hours of free International calls. Just for signing up!
I got a couple cards in with my Pay Per Post swag box yesterday and I haven't used them yet, but I know a few people I could use to call them with. Or, I could save them for when we go to Maine to call back home to chat with sis and check on my kitties.

Whose house? Their house!
When we go home to Maine to visit, we will be trying to figure out accomodations for all of us.
I know we will be staying at my mom and dad's house, but there is also great Gram and aunty Heather to try and fit in as well.
Our relatives do not live close to each other at all so we'll have to stay the majority of the visit at my parents house, and one to two nights at Grams house.
Gram and Heather would be very upset if we went up there and did not spend at least one day and one night with them. This is always the hardest part of going back home for me.
I have two families that need accommodating so they can all see the teens.
I will figure it out I'm sure, it's just very difficult.
This post brought to you by encyclocentral, the letter A, and the number 5.

I'd be mad, then I'd laugh.
I'm sure you've all seen it by now.
The Inphonic Jaguar, practical joke. Scott Ableman, who works for Inphonic, and a few coworkers, covered a colleagues Jaguar, in a rainbow of post it notes.

Walt, the owner of the jag and victim of the practical joke, didn't believe it was his car when he saw it, asking everyone; "Where did my car go?"
He took it really well though and peeled off enough post its to be able to safely drive home to show his kids who he thought would get a kick out of it.
Ableman and his coworkers and partners in crime, were so tickled by what they had done, they took a bunch of pictures and posted them all up on Flickr.
The pictures have been a huge success on Flickr, receiving more than 150,000 views.
It's really kinda cool, but like I said, if it was my car, I'd be really mad at first, then I'd have the same reaction and laugh about it. I'd even take pics of it myself to post.

Myspace, the final frontier.
Ok so it's not really the final frontier for having a spot on the intraweb. There are tons of sites out there like it. But Myspace seems to be able to keep people longer than those other sites. Maybe it's because people can ge really cool Myspace graphics to totally pimp out their profiles.
There's all kinds of ways to make your space on Myspace look great, from back grounds and generators to tweaks and codes.
I think most people just login and see if they have new messages from friends, or if long lost classmates have found them.
Speaking of which, Jenny, glad you found me, I'll reply and tell you all about the last 10 years soon.
So much to tell, so not sure if I want to tell it all.

Be fabulous dahling.
I stopped by
The Diva's Dreams by Belisi and checked out all the various categories.
I think the wine section is fabulous. I love a good wine. I love a good cheap wine too. I don't believe that things have to be expensive to be good quality.
The section on how to entertain like a pro, was a great read, very interesting.
I don't throw many parties, none at all actually, but I do enjoy going to nice ones and I've seen people make terrible mistakes. Ick! It's terribly disgusting when the host(s) use their fingers to eat the quiche out of the dish.
The section on jewelry made me laugh out loud!
"It’s no surprise that metallics are in this fall but gold and copper aren’t the only metals making waves. Steel and titanium are hitting the shelves—and just as fast finding their way onto well-manicured fingers and delicate wrists around the world."
Nice to know my insides are in fashion this season.
I think every woman is a diva in some way. Not all of us will wear the latest fashions or carry the most expensive handbags, I believe diva is so much more than looking perfect and wearing all the latest trends. I believe being a diva is internal, it's how you carry yourself, it's confidence and grace.
I read up on all the latest goings on in the fashion world, I just don't wear them.
Not saying that I wouldn't either, but I only wear black and I just can't see myself carrying a bright orange handbag this winter.
I'd totally rock it if it came in black though.

Ack! He'll be driving!
This coming August, Mark will be 16 years old and be able to start driving. I'm scared...LOL
I'm kidding, I know he'll be a great driver, he's very detail oriented and loves cars. Every time he goes out with his Big George, they go look at cars for sale.
George is looking for a new one for himself and has also told Mark that when the time comes, he will help out in buying Mark a car.
I have no idea what kind of car Mark wants, but I think he should get a Honda Civic, or maybe a Toyota Camry.
I've been looking at all the cars for sale at Lemonfree.com and checking out all the specs and pricing.
I know we have plenty of time to look for a car, but it's really nice to get an idea of what we're all going to be spending on his first car.
I also like the
VW Jetta, but Mark thinks those are more girly type cars.
If it was my car we were shopping for, I'd want this Mustang. I know it's older and not the most popular model, but I love it anyway.

I'm a junkie. Movie junkie that is.
I love knowing what new movies are going to be coming out, watching the clips for them all. I'm such a movie junkie.
World of Movies has all the latest trailers and bloopers, and you can also upload your own movies too.
My favorite genre is horror, but I do love dramas, thrillers and an occasional comedy. I really hate stupid humor man. Hate it.
You can search the site by genre, or look at the top one hundred rated movie trailer clips and most viewed. Registering looks easy enough.
There are so many upcoming movies I want to see, my first on the list is definitely Black Snake Moan. That one just looks so damn interesting and the soundtrack is awesome.
I could literally spend hours on various movie sites watching all the trailers for everything.

10. T-Mobile Samsung T309
I am currently with Virgin mobile but before them, I was with Cingular. Their service was awesome. I never had an issue with the phone or service. Well, until the day the phone got accidentally knocked into the cats' water bowl.
Drying it out couldn't save it's life.
I needed another phone right away for emergencies because I was doing so much at the time away from home and needed to be able to reach the teens.
At the time, Virgin had the best prices my sister and I could find on phones, so we went with that as an early birthday present.
Thanks again sis!
My friend Ian has a Razr, and I absolutely love it. Every time we have hung out, I have looked at it and played around with it's functions and just loved it.
My current phone does not have Bluetooth technology, and I hear nothing but great things about both Bluetooth and and the Razr from everyone who has one.
On my local forums, there was a thread about which phone do you have and which ones are the best.
There was a poll attached, and the Razr from Cingular beat everybody by a landslide.
That made up my mind. My next cell phone when I get ready to purchase a new one, will be the Motorola Razr and I'll be getting my service through Cingular.
And I want a red one. Cherry red.

Have a house for sale and it's not selling?
Then check out this free service from FindMyRoof housing ads.
The site is a 100% free real estate listing site.
They use Google maps to help you list your house in a new way.
They offer a very straight forward, do it yourself listing format, where you have full control over your ad and can edit it as often as you like.
The site has easy navigation and search features so more people will see your listing on line easier.
Findmyroof.com gives the homeowners a new way of advertising online with no cost.
This may be very useful for people here in Florida who have been trying to sell their home for awhile. (sis) The housing market here is weird right now. So many homes for sale, people wanting to buy them, but not enough ways to see what's out there that is what they are looking for.

No more troops to Iraq.
I was reading over at ModernOpinion's editorial on the troop surge, and he agrees with president Bush's speech the other night to add an additional 21,000 troops.
I do not.
I thought congress had to approve this kind of stuff? What happened to we the people?
Bush is an elected representative of us and he's not doing that job.
In November, we the people made it very clear when Democrats took majority control, that we do not like the way the war in Iraq is headed.
We do not support sending more
